Thank
you for visiting our Preapproved Course Instructors Listing.
This listing is provided as a service to our members for keeping
an easy and always-available resource for contacting State Representative
and preapproved instructors in their area.
This reference section is an excellent resource for determining
if the instructor you are considering taking a course from has
received preapproval from NCCAP. Effective July 1, 2002, NCCAP
will only accept certificates of completion toward the academic
requirement of becoming certified from those instructors who
are preapproved.
A
preapproved instructor has met the following requirements:
1) They have a bachelor and/or are certified as an ACC* with
NCCAP.
2) They have experience teaching adults.
3) They have current Activity experience.
4) They have attended the training on use of the course manuals,
etc.
5) They have themselves completed the MEPAP Part 1.
*
Must be NCCAP certified as of July 2004.
What
is MEPAP?
In
addition to the above, as well as the application and fee, the
instructors are required to provide NCCAP with their course
outline, practicum outline, student certificates, evaluation
tool, sample teaching materials, and other supportive documentation.
Please
keep in mind that NCCAP does not endorse any particular instructor,
but rather that they have met the above requirements. NCCAP
recommends that potential students get references from former
students, and any other materials they feel necessary to determine
which instructor best meets their individual needs.
This
list will be updated regularly to provide students with the
most current information.
