By
Rand Bass, ACC
The
NCCAP Board met this past November in Virginia Beach,
Virginia. On the recommendation of the Scholarship Committee,
the NCCAP Board voted unanimously to fund the Beverly
Morris Scholarship. This scholarship has been developed
in memory of the first certified Activity Professional
in New York, Beverly Morris. Ms. Morris was a certified
Activity Director.
NCCAP
members will be awarded scholarship funds annually to
provide assistance for continuing education, at the
boards discretion. The scholarship funds can be used
to
cover registration costs for Certified Activity Professionals
to attend a conference/convention, seminar/workshop
or a course that is related to the Activity
Profession.
Interested
members may request an application by contacting members
of the Scholarship
Committee, including Kathy Hughes or LeNora Hughes,
or members of the NCCAP Board of Directors. For further
